This song was co-written with my good friend Amy Hawkins. We connected on what it feels like to experience the loss of a love relationship. And then to have a lot of love to give, but no one to give it to. So this is song is different in that it’s written for a person only dreamed of. She came to me with lyrics that cleverly and beautifully captured these feelings, which then she graciously allowed me to adapt and craft into this song. The song musically features Grammy-winning artist Nancy Rumbel on the oboe.
